About the Program

Students design and build smart products using mechanical engineering principles and modern manufacturing tools. They create prototypes with sensors, intelligent controls, and user configurable options. Projects include optimizing designs, conducting mechanical analysis, and planning production using automation and robotics. Courses use work integrated learning to apply theory through hands-on product development.

Focus areas include Advanced manufacturing, Mechatronics, Computer systems and networking, CAD and engineering software.

Two-year diploma, full-time on-campus, includes projects and practical work; no co-op or practicum stated.

Graduates work as mechanical engineering technologists, automation technologists, or manufacturing technologists in design, production, or quality control.

Grade 12 with 65% in Pre-Calculus 30 or Math B30 and C30, and 70% in Physics 30. English requirement. Alternative admission via ACCUPLACER© with specified cut scores or 15 approved post-secondary credits.

On-campus, full-time, two years.
