This program trains students to support individuals with disabilities in residential, vocational, and community settings. It focuses on providing compassionate, respectful care for people of all ages with varying abilities. Students develop practical skills in basic care, behavioural support, and person-centred planning. The curriculum emphasizes real-world application through two supervised practicums.

Focus areas include basic care skills, behavioural support, disability support services, exceptionalities and human growth & development, interpersonal and professional skills, person-centred planning.

One-year program with two practicums; no co-op mentioned.

Graduates work as disability support workers, supportive living workers, educational assistants, or vocational training workers in health care, education, and community agencies.

Grade 12 required. English language requirement. International students must have a co-op work permit for practicum. Alternative admission available via ACCUPLACER scores or post-secondary credits.

On-campus in Prince Albert, Regina, and Saskatoon; also offered through distance and the Centre for Continuing Education; full-time and part-time options.
