Early Learning and Child Care Diploma

This programme is designed for recent high school graduates and career changers interested in early childhood education. Students learn to support children's development and create inclusive learning environments. They study child development, program planning, behaviour guidance, and family engagement. Hands-on practicum experiences are integrated throughout the programme.

2 years (5 terms), 60 credits, includes four practicum placements, in-person delivery.

Graduates enter roles such as child care program supervisor, early childhood educator, preschool supervisor, family day home operator, and out-of-school care program coordinator.

High school diploma or equivalent with 50% in English 30-1 or 65% in English 30-2. Mature students (21+) may apply based on interview and entrance assessment. English proficiency required: TOEFL iBT 79, IELTS 6.0, CAEL 60, MELAB 80, Duolingo 100, PTE 50.
