Early Years Practitioner Diploma

The Early Years Practitioner Diploma is a part-time course designed for adults aged 19 and over who want to work with children from birth to six years old. This one-year qualification focuses on applied knowledge for early years, specifically targeting children aged 0 to 4 years. The course is structured to accommodate working professionals, requiring attendance one morning a week while also engaging in practical placements.

Throughout the course, students will explore essential topics such as child development, health and safety, and promoting equality and diversity in early years settings. The curriculum aligns with the Department for Education's Level 2 criteria, ensuring that students gain the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the workforce. Students will also benefit from hands-on experience, as they must complete a minimum of 16 hours per week in an Early Years setting.
