PhD in Economy

Tuition fees are 9,000 EUR per year.

Poznań University of Economics and Business offers Doctoral Seminars in English, a PhD program in Economy, running three years, or six semesters, with an additional non-obligatory year, and yearly tuition of 9000.0 EUR. The program is designed for MSc or MA graduates, both Polish and international, who are interested in preparing a PhD thesis in English, and it is aimed at students who are advancing toward or planning a career in an international environment. The Doctoral Seminars in English program has two stated aims. The first is to educate students to become authorities within their fields, training people who will go on to be the next generation of political and business leaders. The second is to provide rigorous training that prepares scholars whose published work and critiques will advance the practices and standards of contemporary academia. The program is structured to give students an opportunity for direct, close, and interactive cooperation with their supervisors. The program structure includes lectures totaling 22 hours, three workshops of 20 hours each covering topics such as research methodology and presentation of the thesis, three summer schools of 20 hours each, and 160 hours of seminars built around cooperation with a supervisor. Doctoral study in economics generally combines this kind of structured seminar and supervision model with independent research leading to a dissertation, preparing graduates for academic careers, research positions, or senior analytical roles. Based in Poznań, this English-taught doctoral program is built specifically around close supervisor engagement and a defined seminar and workshop structure over its three core years.
