You will find a unique focus on medical and legal practice at New Vision University, where the campus hospital lets you gain clinical experience alongside your studies. Tbilisi offers a low cost of living while you earn a degree recognized across Europe and the UK.

New Vision University (NVU) is a private, non-profit institution founded in 2013 and based in Tbilisi, Georgia. Over 80% of its roughly 4,000 students come from outside Georgia, making it a major hub for international study in Eastern Europe. Courses are taught in English, which removes the language barrier for foreign applicants looking to study medicine, law, or business abroad.

Accreditation and recognition

If you plan to practice medicine or work internationally after graduation, accreditation is the first thing you need to verify.

• National Accreditation: NVU is authorized and accredited by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE) in Georgia.

• Global Medical Standard: Because NCEQE holds World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) recognition status, NVU's 6-year Medical Doctor (MD) degree aligns with international medical guidelines.

• International Lists: The university is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS) under FAIMER ID F0003341.

• Medical Boards: NVU graduates meet the criteria to sit for exams like the USMLE (United States) and foreign medical graduate licensures in India (NMC compliant), the UK, and other regions, provided they meet local board requirements.

Key programs offered

NVU operates through several schools, offering undergraduate, master's, and doctoral tracks.

The MD program uses a four-loop spiral curriculum, which connects basic science theory directly with practical clinical training starting early in the degree. The university operates its own clinical skills center and university hospital, giving medical students direct clinical exposure on site.
