Electrical Apprenticeship

The Electrical Apprenticeship at Belfast Metropolitan College is a 4-year non-degree program for individuals entering the Electrotechnical industry. It combines practical experience with academic learning, allowing students to work with an employer from day one and gain valuable skills while earning a wage.

The curriculum includes topics like installing and maintaining electrical systems, with both college-based learning and on-the-job training. By the end of the apprenticeship, students achieve qualifications recognized by employers, including the City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ Diploma.

Graduates can pursue careers as electricians, electrical technicians, and maintenance electricians, working for construction companies, electrical service providers, and other employers in the industry, with opportunities for career advancement.
