The Electronic Engineering Bachelor's programme at Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences (HSHL) is designed around the close integration of electronics and computer science, reflecting the role of that combination in modern innovation across transport, medicine, telecommunications, automation, and smart homes. The programme develops a holistic understanding of system development, teaching students to design hardware and software prototypes, develop control engineering systems, model complex system behaviour from requirements through to implementation, and interact with human-machine systems. The seven-semester programme begins with three semesters of fundamentals covering electronics, mathematics, natural sciences, technical computer science, and prototyping. From the fourth semester, more advanced and interdisciplinary lectures build on this foundation. The fifth semester is a self-arranged internship or exchange semester. In the sixth and seventh semesters, students choose one of two elective subject areas: Autonomous Systems or Embedded Electronic Engineering. The seventh semester concludes with a Bachelor's thesis and project work. The programme is offered at Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences in Lippstadt, Germany.
