About the Program

The Master's programme in Embedded Systems at Chemnitz University of Technology is an English-language course focused on the development of intelligent systems by combining microsystems technologies, information and communication technologies, and software development. The programme runs over four semesters, with starts available in both the winter and summer semesters. Foundational knowledge is established through compulsory modules covering digital components and architectures for data processing, digital signal processing, computer vision, smart sensor systems, design of software for embedded systems, real-time systems, design of digital systems, hardware/software co-design, and a project lab. Built on these compulsory subjects, students select elective modules from four specialisation fields: System Design, Automotive Systems, Signal Processing, and Embedded Systems. Non-technical electives are also available. Students may optionally undertake a research project at the university or a research internship, the latter requiring German language proficiency at B2 level.
