This programme prepares students for careers as engineering design and drafting technologists. Graduates work on multi-discipline projects using industry-standard software. They apply skills in 2D and 3D drafting, building information modeling, and project management. The programme includes hands-on training in structural, mechanical, and manufacturing design.

Focus areas include Building Information Modeling (BIM), Structural Steel Detailing, Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP), 3D Parametric Modelling, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Rapid Prototyping.

Three-year full-time programme with five academic semesters and three co-operative education work terms. Total credits not specified. Includes practical training in CAD software and a capstone research project.

Graduates work as computer-aided design technologists, design and drafting technologists, or building information modeling technologists in engineering, construction, mining, and manufacturing sectors.

Grade 12 with Pre-Calculus 30 or Math A30, B30, and C30. English language requirement. Physics 30 is recommended but not required. Alternative admission available through ACCUPLACER© with specified cut scores.

On-campus, full-time, three years.
