This programme prepares students for careers as engineering design and drafting technologists. Graduates work on multi-discipline projects using industry-standard software. They apply skills in 2D and 3D drafting, building information modeling, and project management. Students complete co-op work terms and a capstone research project.

Focus areas include Building Information Modeling (BIM), Digital Transformation, Structural Steel Detailing, Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP), 3D Parametric Modelling, Rapid Prototyping.

Three-year full-time programme with five academic semesters and three co-op work terms. Total credits not specified. Includes practical training in CAD software and BIM technology.

Graduates work as computer-aided draftspersons in engineering firms, construction companies, mining and manufacturing industries, utilities, and government agencies.

Grade 12 with Pre-Calculus 30 or Math A30, B30, and C30. English language requirement. Physics 30 is recommended but not required. Alternative admission available via ACCUPLACER© scores: Arithmetic 250, Advanced Algebra and Functions 240, Quantitative Reasoning 256, Reading 250, Writing 245.

On-campus, full-time, three years.
