Ontario College Certificate

This one-year certificate program is for non-native English speakers who want to improve their language skills for academic and professional success. It prepares students to enter post-secondary studies in Ontario by strengthening reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, and vocabulary. The program includes interactive learning through group work, assignments, multimedia tools, and in-class instruction. Students also learn about Canadian culture and social contexts relevant to their goals.

Courses focus on building clear communication abilities. Students practice writing with proper structure and style, develop reading comprehension through diverse texts, and improve spoken English using real-life scenarios. They engage in discussions, presentations, role-playing, and collaborative activities. Digital tools help create effective written and visual materials. The program supports academic readiness and personal responsibility in learning.

The program starts in September 2026 or January 2027 at multiple campuses across Ontario. It does not offer distance education for international applicants. Upon completion, students can apply to other Ontario College Certificate, Diploma, or Advanced Diploma programs. Graduates are prepared for further study in English-speaking environments.
