İngiliz Dili ve Edebiyatı

At Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University, tuition is 36,000 TRY per year.

English Language and Literature examines the linguistic, literary, and cultural dimensions of the English-speaking world. Students read across periods and genres, from early drama and poetry to the contemporary novel, while also studying linguistics, literary theory, and translation. Coursework typically combines close reading and critical writing with practical language training, developing strong analytical and communication skills that extend well beyond literary study itself. Career paths for graduates include teaching, publishing, journalism, editing, translation, and roles in media and communications, as well as further graduate study in literature or linguistics. This bachelor's program is delivered in English over 4 years at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University in Rize, Turkey. Instruction entirely in English allows students to engage with primary texts and scholarly criticism in their original language, and it prepares graduates for international work environments where English proficiency is expected. Studying in Rize, a coastal city on Turkey's Black Sea, gives students a distinctive regional setting in which to pursue an internationally oriented degree. Across the four years, students typically move from foundational language and literature courses toward more specialized seminars, culminating in independent research or a capstone project that lets them pursue a particular author, period, or theoretical approach in depth. The program suits students drawn to reading, writing, and cross-cultural communication.
