İngiliz Dili ve Edebiyatı

English Language and Literature at Uşak University in Uşak, Turkey, focuses on the study of English-language literary works alongside the structure and history of the English language. Coursework typically spans British and American literature, literary theory and criticism, linguistics, and academic writing, with students analyzing texts from different periods and genres including poetry, drama, and the novel. The program builds strong skills in critical reading, argumentation, and written and spoken English, and seminars often ask students to compare texts across historical periods or to apply competing theoretical lenses to the same work. Some programs include modules on translation, media studies, or cultural studies that connect literary analysis to broader questions about society and communication. Graduates pursue careers in teaching, publishing, journalism, translation, and communications, and the degree also provides a strong foundation for graduate study in literature, linguistics, or education. This 4 years bachelor's program is offered at Uşak University, located in Uşak, Turkey. Instruction is delivered in English. The analytical and communication skills built through close reading and writing are valued well beyond literary settings.
