In an era where digital content flows instantaneously across borders and creative intellectual property represents one of the most valuable assets in the global economy, the ability to navigate complex legal landscapes is paramount. The LLM in Entertainment Law is designed for forward-thinking legal professionals and creative industry specialists who aim to master the intersection of commercial law and the arts.

Based in London—a global nexus for media, music, and film—this programme moves beyond theoretical study to address the pressing contemporary challenges of digital distribution, streaming economics, and the integration of AI into creative workflows. It is specifically tailored for those who wish to transition into or advance within roles that require high-level strategic advisory skills.

Applied Industry Integration

What distinguishes this programme is its commitment to bridging the gap between the courtroom and the studio. Students have the unique opportunity to engage directly with London Noise Records, the university’s in-house label. This provides a rare, hands-on environment to apply legal training in real-world scenarios, such as:

• Drafting and negotiating authentic artist and licensing agreements.
• Managing rights portfolios within a live commercial environment.
• Navigating the legal complexities of global content distribution.

By blending rigorous academic inquiry with these practical experiences, the course prepares graduates to act as effective legal counsel, contract managers, or commercial advisors in multinational law firms, major production houses, and independent creative enterprises.
