Environmental Technology

This two-year in-person diploma program is delivered over four terms. Students study chemistry, biology, and mathematics while gaining practical skills in environmental monitoring and field techniques. The curriculum focuses on natural resource industries in northern Alberta. Graduates are prepared for roles in environmental monitoring and resource management.

Focus areas include Plants & Ecosystems, Water & Soil Monitoring, Field Techniques & GIS, Environmental Management.

2 years (4 terms), 60 credits, in-person delivery, no co-op or practicum.

Graduates can work as Environmental Technicians, Field Technologists, Conservation and Reclamation Assistants, Water Quality Technicians, or Wildlife or Fisheries Technicians.

High school diploma or equivalent with English 30-1, Math 30-1, Chemistry 30, and Biology 30. Mature students (21+) must meet the same requirements. English language proficiency required: TOEFL iBT 79 (no section below 19), IELTS Academic 6.0, CAEL 60, MELAB 80, Duolingo 100, or PTE Academic 50.

In-person, full-time or part-time, 2 years.
