The 32-month Environmental Technology diploma is organised into five full-time academic semesters. After the first year you complete two consecutive co-operative education work terms, and a third work term is offered in the summer of the second year, giving you three paid placements alongside classroom study.

A concrete feature of the programme is the mandatory co-op component, which provides up to 12 weeks of real-world experience each term. While on campus you study environmental impact evaluation, monitoring and control, site assessment, ecology, aquatic chemistry, hydrology, atmospheric quality, soil analysis, waste management, surveying and drafting, as well as computer modelling and technical report writing.

Graduates leave with hands-on skills ready for employment in pollution monitoring, environmental audits, remediation and waste management.
