Integrated Professional Development

What sets this degree apart is the depth of its placement structure. Students undertake over 170 days of real-life placements, working directly with children, families, and adults facing diverse challenges—ranging from youth justice and child protection to mental health and homelessness. This intensive practical exposure allows students to navigate the nuanced realities of peer support, safeguarding, and crisis management, ensuring they graduate with the confidence to register and practice as qualified social workers immediately.

Students develop a versatile skill set that is highly valued across the voluntary and statutory sectors. Whether you are driven by a desire to advocate for systemic change or to provide direct, life-changing support to individuals in their most vulnerable moments, this programme provides the tools to turn that ambition into a rewarding career.
