Master in Euroforester

The tuition fee is 344,000 SEK for the whole program, and applications for the Aug 2027 intake are due by Jan 15, 2027.

Euroforester is an MSc programme at SLU's Alnarp campus focused on forests and forestry in northern and central Europe, delivered by an international teaching team to an international student audience. The programme integrates forest management, ecology, planning and policy, including study trips in Sweden and abroad.

In the first year, profile courses cover silviculture and climate adaptation of temperate and boreal forests, ecology, restoration and forest policy. In the second year, elective courses allow specialisation in forest regeneration, modelling, and management of urban forests and trees, followed by an independent degree project. Students may apply, in competition, to the TRANSFOR-M exchange programme for a second year at the University of British Columbia, University of Alberta or Lakehead University, which can lead to a double degree.

Graduates find employment with organisations ranging from forest owner associations to environmental NGOs and multinational companies.
