About Master in European Union Law

Applications for the Oct 2027 intake are due by Mar 1, 2027; the tuition fee is 8,180 PLN per year.

The master's programme in European Union Law at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, in Lublin, Poland, is taught in English over two years, with yearly tuition of 8,180 PLN. Graduates are prepared to work as professional staff members at EU institutions and other international organisations, as well as in local and national government, and are positioned to lead change in their local communities by promoting European integration and making effective use of European funds. The programme also prepares students for work in private enterprises in Poland and across Europe, through a Business Law specialisation, or for careers in diplomatic service with a strong focus on the protection of human rights and migration policy, through a Diplomacy specialisation. The course was designed by the university's academic staff in cooperation with representatives of the administrative staff of EU institutions, diplomatic institutions and consulates, lawyers and legal advisors, so that the programme reflects the practical demands of the field in terms of both education and graduate employability. Students complete 60 hours of mandatory practical placement as part of the degree. Strong cooperation with national and international institutions creates opportunities for placement or internships at organisations across the public and private sectors, including the European Parliament, the European Commission Representation Office in Warsaw, the Representation of the European Commission in Warsaw, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and units of central and local government, among the EU-related bodies students can gain experience with. The combination of academic legal training, practical placement and links to serving EU and diplomatic professionals gives graduates both the credentials and the practical exposure needed for careers in European law and policy.
