Students on the MA Fashion and Textiles course learn in workshop-based environments, developing their core practice in a fashion or textile context, unique to Portsmouth. You will identify and explore your own motivation, be challenged to create designs, and develop your own digital and physical fashion products, using excellent facilities.

You will also have opportunities to do cross-disciplinary work, collaborate on funded research and innovation projects, and gain professional experience through work-based learning.

Through your major project, you will produce a significant body of work based on your own research, supervised by academic, technical, and/or business mentors. You can also hear from inspirational guest speakers from creative fields, organise or take part in exhibitions or events, and go on optional study visits to cultural and industrial hubs in the UK and abroad, such as to Premiere Vision in Paris and the Future Fabrics Expo in London.
