A Tailored Creative Journey

You will not be confined to a single medium. Instead, you are encouraged to master and blend disciplines—from traditional painting, printmaking, and sculpture to digital media, performance, and new technologies. The curriculum is structured to move you from foundational exploration toward a fully self-directed, professional practice. By engaging in regular, critical one-to-one tutorials and peer-led critiques, you will learn to contextualise your work within current global debates, preparing you for roles ranging from gallery management and conservation to independent professional practice.

Our unique block teaching approach ensures you focus on one module at a time, creating a supportive environment where you can truly immerse yourself in your work. You will have access to dedicated studio spaces and cutting-edge technical labs, guided by staff who are active, exhibiting artists and researchers. The course culminates in the DMU Festival of Creativity, providing a professional platform to debut your final exhibition to the public and industry professionals.
