The programme runs over one year of part-time study, divided into two semesters. Semester 1 introduces the fundamentals of food and beverage operations, hospitality IT skills, cost control and study skills, each worth five credits. Semester 2 builds on this foundation with modules on sustainability, specialised restaurant theory, beverage studies, event planning and a 20-credit work placement that integrates theory with real-world practice.

Graduates typically take up roles such as Food & Beverage Assistant, Server or Bartender in hotels, restaurants, bars and clubs. The qualification also offers a route to further study or professional registration within the hospitality sector.
