Each week you attend live online lectures, participate in workshops and practical sessions, and complete independent study tasks that together build the ability to take a food product from concept to market. Assessment is continuous, using case studies, reports, presentations and problem-based learning, so you regularly apply theory to real-world scenarios.

The programme’s distinctive feature is its blended delivery: 100 % of teaching is online, but you must attend mandatory on-campus workshops – one day in the first semester and two consecutive days in the second – providing hands-on experience with laboratory techniques and product testing. Modules such as Food Product Development (10 credits) guide you through market analysis, prototype creation and sensory evaluation, while Food Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship covers the commercial skills needed for product launch.
