Graduates from this programme frequently progress into high-impact roles within the Home Office, GCHQ, and major pharmaceutical firms like AstraZeneca and GlaxoSmithKline, while others secure positions within police authorities and private consultancies. By bridging the gap between scientific theory and the demands of the justice system, the course prepares you to operate as a professional within a highly competitive global market.

This course places you at the centre of forensic inquiry, teaching you to recover, analyse, and present evidence using techniques that mirror modern industry standards. Whether you opt for the three-year BSc or the four-year integrated MSci, you will engage with a curriculum designed in collaboration with experts from Leicestershire Police and other key investigative bodies. The learning environment is distinctively practical, utilising a purpose-built crime scene house, mock courtrooms, and advanced laboratories to ensure that your academic knowledge is hardened by real-world application.

Block Teaching Innovation

The programme utilises a unique block teaching model, allowing you to focus on one module at a time. This approach replaces the stress of end-of-year exam seasons with a more consistent rhythm of assessments, fostering deeper engagement with the material and stronger connections with both your tutors and your cohort.
