About the Program

This programme trains students to become funeral directors with a focus on embalming and mortuary care. It combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice in funeral service management. Students learn to prepare cadavers, conduct funerals, and support grieving families. The program is the only one of its kind in French in Ontario.

5 semesters, 60 credits, includes a 14-month paid internship in Ontario or New Brunswick.

Graduates work as funeral directors or manage funeral homes.

Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, 1 French credit, 1 English credit, CLB Level 6 in English if no OSSD, 20-hour observation in a funeral home after admission, 5-hour observation between first and second semester.

On campus, Comodal (hyflex), Online; full-time; 5 semesters.
