This programme is designed for individuals seeking a career in gasfitting. Students learn to install, test, and service natural gas and propane systems. They study workplace safety, tool handling, combustion science, technical drawings, and metal fabrication. The programme prepares students for high-pressure system installations and complex trades work.

Four years, four 12-month periods, 1,560 hours on-the-job training per year, eight weeks of classroom instruction per year, 80% on-the-job, 20% classroom.

Graduates work as Gasfitters Class A or B, Combustion Technicians, Apprenticeship Instructors, or Site/Project Foremen.

ELA 30-2, Math 30-3, Physics 30 or Chem 30 or Science 30, Related CTS courses, or ELA 20-2, Math 20-3, Science 10, or pass on all five Canadian GED tests, or successful completion of AIT’s entrance exam.

On-campus, full-time, four years.
