General Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen is a six-year English-taught programme leading to the MUDr. degree. The first phase of study covers theoretical and pre-clinical disciplines, bedside teaching begins in the third year, and the final two years focus fully on clinical subjects at the Pilsen University Hospital. Admission requires a multiple-choice entrance examination in biology, chemistry and physics, with no retake permitted within the same academic year. The programme accepts both direct applicants and those applying through cooperating agencies, and international students make up a substantial share of the class.
