Master in Generative Ai

Tuition fees are 4,995 EUR per year; applications for the Jan 2028 intake are due by Oct 1, 2027.

Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam leverages its deep expertise in Business Analytics to offer this intensive, 8-day professional programme focused on the practical implementation of Generative AI. Designed for professionals operating in corporate environments, the course bridges the gap between theoretical machine learning and actionable business innovation.

Participants move beyond high-level concepts to master the mechanics of large language models and generative imagery. The curriculum is built for those who already possess foundational skills in programming and data analysis, providing a rigorous environment to explore how stochastic optimisation and advanced architectures can be applied to internal workflows, customer communication, and design.

Strategic Technical Application

The programme distinguishes itself through a hands-on approach, utilising industry-standard frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch. Throughout the course, you will benefit from:

• Practical sessions on prompt engineering and model deployment.
• Exploration of GANs, VAEs, diffusion models, and transformer architectures.
• A capstone project that connects complex AI concepts to concrete, real-world corporate challenges.
• Critical discourse regarding the ethical implications and future trajectory of generative technologies.

By the end of the programme, you will have developed not only the technical proficiency to build generative systems but also the strategic foresight to deploy them effectively within your organisation's evolving landscape.
