This programme is designed for recent graduates and career changers with computer skills and an interest in project management. Students learn to use GIS software for data analysis and spatial mapping. They gain hands-on experience with drone data, GPS, and remote sensing. The programme prepares graduates for technical roles in resource management and environmental assessment.

Focus areas include Drone data acquisition, GPS, GIS process automation, GIS analysis, Web mapping, Remote sensing.

One year full time, includes hands-on learning, field experience, and an applied research project with an industry partner.

Graduates work as GIS mapping technicians, GIS specialists, cartographers, GPS operators, data analysts, or remote sensing analysts.

Grade 12 with minimum 65% in a 30-level English Language Arts and minimum 60% in Workplace and Apprenticeship Math 30, Foundations of Math 30, or Pre-Calculus 30. English language requirement must be met. Computer literacy is recommended.

On-campus full time, online part time.
