The program is grounded in research and theory-to-practice methodology. Students learn to apply GIS technology for data analysis and spatial mapping. They gain skills in drone data acquisition, GPS, database design, and remote sensing. Training includes hands-on learning and an applied research project with an industry partner.

Grade 12 with minimum 65% in a 30-level English Language Arts and minimum 60% in Workplace and Apprenticeship Math 30, Foundations of Math 30, or Pre-Calculus 30. Alternative admission available via ACCUPLACER© with specified cut scores. Computer literacy recommended.
