This two-year, full-time diploma program is delivered on-campus with part-time study options. Students gain practical skills in geological fieldwork, lab analysis, and industry tools. The program includes two intensive field schools and hands-on experience in rock and soil sampling, mapping, and core logging. Graduates are prepared for entry-level roles in mining and mineral exploration. Students can also pursue paid summer work or co-op placements during their studies.

Two years, 60.00 credits, includes two fieldwork components and optional co-op, part-time study available.

Graduates work as geological technicians, mineral exploration field technicians, core logging technicians, or GIS technicians in mining, geotechnical, environmental, and government sectors.

Mathematics 11 (Pre-Calculus or Foundations of Mathematics) with a C or better, Chemistry 11 with a C or better, general college admission requirements.

On-campus, full-time or part-time, two years.
