About the Program

Global Production Engineering (GPE) is a four-semester full-time master's programme at Technische Universität Berlin, taught entirely in English. It covers production engineering, management, and intercultural communication, with a focus on the planning and design of flexible factories, advanced production technologies, and global supply chain and operations management. Students gain hands-on experience with tools such as CAD and Plant Simulation software. The programme requires students to earn 120 credits across four semesters. The first three semesters involve modules across five groups: Production Engineering, Management, Intercultural Communication, Special Profile, and a general track. Students are also required to attend a workshop on intercultural communication and a scientific working seminar. In the fourth semester, students complete an internship of at least nine weeks and write a master's thesis. Depending on the combination of modules chosen, graduates may specialise in areas such as Global Manufacturing and Network Planning, Production and Operations Management, Sustainable Manufacturing, or Information and Communication Technology in Manufacturing.
