Graphics at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, in Lublin, Poland, is a master's degree in Graphic Arts taught in English over 2 years (4 semesters), with the next intake beginning on 2026-10-01 and an application deadline of 2026-09-15. The program is aimed at undergraduates and graduates of artistic faculties, including Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Painting, and Art Education. Practical courses are grounded in the study of traditional graphic techniques, painting, and drawing, alongside newer digital technologies and multimedia solutions. Graphic design course units run in a workshop format using Adobe applications and cover Digital Picture Editing, Web Design, Multimedia, Illustration, Advertising, and Photography. Across the four semesters, students learn different printmaking techniques, including intaglio methods such as etching, aquatint, soft ground, and dry point, as well as relief printing (linocut), silkscreen, and experimental printmaking. Students are supported throughout their studies as they experiment with different skill sets, with self-discovery treated as an important part of the process; the program also encourages students to bring their own experiences and interests into their work rather than following a single fixed approach. Graduates come away able to make decisions and designs in complex and unpredictable situations and to respond quickly to evolving ideas and technological developments, while also learning to work under pressure and building the technical and conceptual skills valued within the creative industry. Instruction is delivered by staff drawn from experienced university teachers. Graduates of programs in graphic arts typically move into careers in illustration, printmaking, exhibition design, and visual arts education.
