Master in Graphics

Graphics at Vistula University, in Warszawa, Poland, is a master's degree taught in English over 2 years (4 semesters). The program offers two specialties. The Graphic Arts specialty trains graduates as fully formed photographers with strong technical skills, grounded in art history, aesthetics, composition, and artistic technique, while also developing skill in creating media messages; students on this track broaden their knowledge of traditional graphic techniques and can pursue experiment-based work drawing on imagination, drawing skill, photography, and current developments in digital printing. The Art Media specialty broadens students' knowledge of modern electronic media, including photography, film and video, animation, and interactive media, with the aim of producing self-aware artists able to function as independent creators across art and design while also carrying out commercial projects. Students on this track make creative use of both natural talent and acquired skills while working with photographic and moving-image media, including video and animation, throughout their studies. Graduates of programs in this field are prepared for careers as professional photographers, art directors, animators, and interactive media designers, working across advertising agencies, publishing houses, film and television production, and independent creative practice. More broadly, master's-level graphics and media arts programs also cover exhibition curation, portfolio development, and critical theory, giving graduates the grounding to move between commercial creative work and gallery-facing or academic practice depending on individual career direction.
