Ontario College Diploma

Tuition is The standard tuition and compulsory fees for the current academic year: Fall 2026 Tuition Fees.

This two-year program prepares students to work as greenhouse technicians in Ontario's growing agricultural sector. Students learn through classroom instruction, lab work, and hands-on experience in greenhouses. The curriculum includes a capstone project and two field placements, one day per week in the second year and a full-term placement in the final semester. The program offers two specializations: Production and Integrated Pest Management (IPM).

Students study plant science, pest control, greenhouse systems, climate management, and business practices. They gain skills in hydroponic systems, crop scheduling, fertilization, and using computerized controls. Courses cover pathology, entomology, pesticide regulations, and post-harvest handling. A key focus is on sustainable practices and efficient production methods.

The program starts in September each year. Graduates can work as assistant or head growers, pest management specialists, supervisors, or managers in greenhouses. They may also find roles in logistics, supplier services, or government agencies. The credential qualifies them for entry-level positions in modern greenhouse operations across Ontario.
