This program prepares students to install, service, maintain, and troubleshoot residential heating systems. It includes training for Gas Technician 3 and Gas Technician 2 certifications through the TSSA. Students gain hands-on experience in electrical, refrigeration, and heating fundamentals. The curriculum covers gas and oil heating systems, hydronics, forced air systems, and advanced controls.

Focus areas include Gas Technician 3, Gas Technician 2, Oil Burner Technician 3, Refrigeration, Heating Systems, Controls.

42 weeks, 3 semesters, includes field projects as part of the curriculum.

Graduates may work as service technicians, installers, or in parts or equipment sales with residential and commercial heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration contractors.

Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent; English Grade 12 (ENG4C or equivalent); Mathematics Grade 12 (MAP4C or equivalent, MCT4C recommended); IELTS overall 6.0 with no band below 5.5; TOEFL iBT overall 80 with minimum 20 in each section; Duolingo English Test overall 110 with no score below 95.

On-campus, full-time, 3 semesters.
