Bachelor in Hnc Naval Architecture

Tuition fees are 17,800 GBP per year.

Designing vessels that remain buoyant, stable, and efficient in the world’s most challenging maritime environments requires a precise blend of physics, materials science, and engineering intuition. The Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Naval Architecture provides a foundational pathway into this specialized discipline, bridging the gap between theoretical engineering principles and the practical demands of the modern maritime industry.

Delivered at City College Plymouth in partnership with the University of Plymouth, this programme is specifically designed for students who value a supportive, close-knit learning environment. By combining rigorous academic study with industry-relevant application, it prepares graduates to contribute effectively to ship design, maintenance, and maritime management. Whether you are looking to enter the sector or enhance your professional capabilities, this course offers a structured approach to understanding the mechanics of marine structures.
