Nutrition explores how food, nutrients and dietary patterns influence health, disease risk and performance. The programme examines biological fundamentals, chemical processes, and the social determinants that shape individual and population wellbeing, preparing students to interpret scientific evidence and advise on dietary practice.

The course runs over three full-time years. In the first year students build a foundation through modules such as Human Biology, Chemistry 1, Mathematics for Science 1 and Introduction to Nutrition, complemented by practical IT skills. The second year expands into Human Anatomy and Physiology I, Foundations of Health Promotion Practice and Culinary Nutrition, where learners acquire basic cooking techniques and apply food safety and sustainability principles. Further years develop advanced subjects and optional placements, culminating in a solid grounding for roles in nutrition, health promotion or related research.
