At Università degli Studi di Padova, tuition fees are 2,890 EUR per year.

Human rights and multi-level governance examines how rights protections are defined, implemented, and enforced across different layers of political authority, from local and national governments to regional bodies and international institutions. Students in this field typically study international human rights law, constitutional law, political theory, and the mechanisms through which governance decisions are made across overlapping jurisdictions. The discipline draws on law, political science, and sociology to understand how rights are protected or contested in practice. Typical subjects include the study of international human rights treaties, the role of courts and tribunals, minority and gender rights, humanitarian law, and the functioning of institutions such as the European Union and the United Nations human rights system. Students often examine case studies of governance across multiple levels, from municipal policy to international agreements. Graduates in this field commonly pursue careers in non-governmental organizations, international institutions, human rights advocacy, public administration, and policy research. Others move into legal practice with a human rights focus, humanitarian work, or further academic study in law or political science. This master's program in Human Rights and Multi-level Governance is offered by Università degli Studi di Padova, located in Padova, Italy. The program lasts two years and is taught in English, making it accessible to an international student body. Admission is open access, so candidates holding a bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification can apply without a separate entrance test. Students entering the program typically have an undergraduate background in law, political science, international studies, or a related social science discipline, which provides the grounding needed to study how rights and governance operate across the many institutional levels covered in the program.
