Master in Informatics

Informatics is a master's program taught in English at Uniwersytet WSB Merito Gdansk, based in Warszawa, Poland, over two years of study. The program covers building interactive and responsive websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with frameworks such as React and Angular, and students learn web development technologies for building applications that run smoothly and remain user-friendly across devices. Coursework also includes back-end web application development with frameworks such as .NET and Java, aimed at building scalable and efficient systems, as well as implementing progressive web applications that work both online and offline on mobile devices. Students study software quality assurance techniques to prepare them to test applications and maintain performance and security, and they build knowledge of UX and user interface design to create applications that are both intuitive and aesthetically considered. The program prepares graduates for several career paths: front-end developer, building interactive websites with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, and React; back-end developer, working with technologies such as .NET, Java, and Python to build secure systems; full-stack developer, combining front-end and back-end skills to manage entire IT projects; and web designer, creating functional, user-focused digital products. Informatics at the master's level builds on undergraduate computing knowledge to give students both breadth across the web development stack and depth in specific technical areas, positioning graduates for mid-level and senior roles across software development, quality assurance, and product design within the IT industry.
