Master in Informatik / Computer Science (Master)

Graduates of the Informatik / Computer Science (Master) programme at TH Köln go on to work in the software engineering and IT systems sectors, leading to careers in software development, IT consulting and project management, as well as further study in research and academia.

The programme's curriculum is divided into four equal parts: a chosen focus area (Software Engineering or Information Systems), an elective area, a project area, and a master's thesis. The Software Engineering focus is taught entirely in German, while the Information Systems focus is taught in English. The elective area offers modules in both German and English, allowing students to specialise in areas such as IT security, business administration, and data mining.
