Bachelor in Informatik Dual Bachelor

Graduates from the Informatik Dual Bachelor programme at the FH Dortmund go on to work in various IT sectors, such as software development, IT consulting, and network administration. The programme combines a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Informatik Dual with an IHK-recognised vocational training, ensuring a robust foundation in applied informatics and practical skills. Students gain experience in three central areas: software technology, network technology, and digitalisation management. Modules such as software development, IT management, and cloud computing, are taught in a dual format of study and practical experience, where you spend a maximum of three days a week in theory and at least two days in practical training with a partner company. The curriculum also prepares students for the IHK examination in relevant fields, such as software development, system integration and digital networking, and further equips them with the skills to manage real-world IT projects.
