With over 300 researchers and 19 chairs, Saarbrücken's Informatik department is a renowned hub of research, recognised as one of Germany's top departments and globally respected in the field. Students benefit from a wide range of research opportunities and the flexibility to shape their studies through block courses in the semester breaks.

In this 4-semester programme, you will complete 120 credits across a variety of modules ranging from theoretical foundations to practical applications. These modules include both compulsory and elective lectures, tutorials, and seminars. Each module concludes with an assessment, typically a graded written exam, which contributes to the overall Master's grade.

Prospective students are expected to have a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Informatik or a related field, and proficiency in English at C1 level.

In addition, a motivation letter, two references, and relevant internship or foreign experience are required.
