Information science at Wroclaw University of Economics and Business is a full-time bachelor's programme taught entirely in English over three years in Wrocław, Poland. The curriculum, described by the university as Business Informatics, blends theoretical grounding with hands-on practice in applying computer science methods and tools to management and business problems. Students build skills that support real business processes and learn to view the information technology sector from multiple angles, developing analytical thinking, flexibility, and the ability to manage their own tasks as business informatics professionals. Graduates of the programme find work readily in a labour market where demand for digital competences and IT specialists remains strong, and the field draws candidates from many countries. Coursework equips students to analyse and synthesise business problems, adapt to shifting conditions, and address the practical challenges of implementing and using information and communication technologies. Study also covers management, accounting, finance, quantitative methods, and economics, so graduates leave with a combination of technical and business knowledge rather than narrow technical training alone. Students also learn to work within project teams and to keep updating their knowledge as technology changes, a skill set that suits a field where tools and platforms evolve quickly. Career paths open to graduates include business process analyst, database designer, IT specialist, IT project manager or IT director, and systems analyst and designer, with a specialisation available in system design and programming. This mix of business and computing training positions graduates for roles that sit between technical departments and management, translating organisational needs into information systems and helping companies use technology more effectively across their operations.
