Graduates are qualified to work as fish and wildlife technicians, forestry technicians, plant specialists or park rangers. The program prepares students for careers in sustainable natural resource management. It focuses on hands-on learning through labs, field exercises and work experience. Students gain skills in data collection, resource monitoring and outdoor survival.

Focus areas include fisheries, forestry, wildlife, parks management, GIS and GPS applications, remote sensing.

Two years, full-time, on-campus. Includes field camps and work experience. No co-op or practicum stated.

Graduates work as fish and wildlife technicians, forestry technicians, plant specialists or park rangers in Western and Northern Canada.

Grade 12 with minimum 65% in 30-level English Language Arts and minimum 60% in Workplace and Apprenticeship Math 30, Foundations of Math 30, or Pre-Calculus 30. Alternative admission available through ACCUPLACER scores. English language requirement applies.
