Master in Interaction Design Lab

The Interaction Design Lab (IDL) on the Potsdam campus focuses on investigating human needs at the human-machine interface and interaction. It partners with industry and academia to drive forward-thinking projects, and host Professors like Boris Müller provide expertise in interaction design. Students will gain hands-on experience with cutting tools like eye-tracking systems and develop competencies in usability research and user-centric design. The lab's approach emphasizes design solutions over technical ones, integrating disciplines like ergonomics, communication design, and information architecture. Students will learn to create human-centric products with high aesthetic and experiential value, addressing both the physical and emotional needs of users.
