About the Program

Interior Architecture focuses on the design of interior spaces within buildings, combining spatial planning, materials, lighting, and furniture design with technical building knowledge. Students typically study design studios, interior construction and materials, lighting design, furniture design, and building codes as part of the curriculum. Graduates pursue careers in interior design and architecture firms, furniture and product design, and construction-related fields, or continue into further study in interior architecture or design. This bachelor program runs for 4 years and is taught in English at Eastern Mediterranean University, located in Gazimağusa, Northern Cyprus. As with the related interior architecture track at the university, studio design work is combined with technical coursework on materials and construction to prepare graduates for practice in interior design.
