Bachelor in Interior Architecture

Tuition fees are 8,750 EUR per year.

This interior architecture program prepares students to design indoor spaces that are functional, code-compliant, and visually coherent within the broader context of a building's architecture. Typical coursework covers spatial planning, materials and finishes, lighting, furniture design, building regulations, and design software, combined with studio courses in which students develop design proposals from concept through presentation. Students learn to work within practical constraints such as structural systems and accessibility requirements while pursuing design intent for residential, commercial, and public interiors. Regular studio critiques help students refine their design reasoning and presentation skills under instructor and peer feedback. Graduates typically pursue careers as interior designers or interior architects within architecture firms, interior design studios, and construction or real estate development companies, and some later establish independent practices. This bachelor's degree is offered at Girne American University in Girne, Northern Cyprus, with instruction entirely in English over four years. English-medium coursework is useful in this field because much of the international design software, product documentation, and professional literature students rely on is produced in English. Girne's blend of older buildings and newer construction gives interior architecture students a varied set of local reference points for studio projects, from renovation work to new-build interiors. Over the four-year program, students typically progress from introductory design and drafting courses toward increasingly complex studio projects and technical coursework, building toward a portfolio that reflects readiness for professional interior architecture practice.
