About Master in International Medical Sciences, PGDip

The programme is delivered in partnership with the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine (AUC) and is recognised as equivalent to the AUC medical sciences curriculum, allowing you to sit the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 1 after completing the PGDip. The first two years cover core medical sciences and integrate learning with clinical practice, preparing you for the subsequent clinical sciences phase.

Early clinical exposure is provided through medical cases, patient simulators and small-group sessions. You will use the Human Anatomy Resource and Learning Centre for practical skills and can undertake clerkship rotations in AUC-affiliated teaching hospitals in the UK and the US. The course builds a portfolio of knowledge, skills and professional attributes required for high-quality, patient-centred care.
